photography.... but a click will take you home

Most of these are rather awful. I partly blame the quality of the digital camera I used for grain and blur, except for the most recent ones, where I am learning to use my SLR better. The frogs and jewellery was me playing with the macro. Hopefully I'll improve with more practice!

Whole lot of newbies! While a majority are very average, I'm pretty impressed with how much better my photos are coming out. Having said that however, I really want a bigger lens for my camera! I can't zoom enough :( Anyway, enjoy a million photos of butterflies, some lovely portraits (eg. Kithy looking like a movie star and Charlie in shadows) and a productive return to the cemetary!

exposure is not quite right, but I love that she's just staring straight down the lens at you - reminds me of old hollywood starlette photos am so stoked with this one - not retouched at all, the lighting is all natural focus should be on the butterfly head rather than wings, but I like the spots of light in the background couldn't zoom in any closer with my shitty lens, but still acceptable framing is off - too far to the left - blech once again, could not zoom any closer, but framing not so kind here - colours are nice though poor little guy has a torn wing, and unfortunately focus is on plant not butterfly this I like, it was a fluke I got it too 'cause it flew off pretty soon after I took it playing with light - meh liked the reflection, but couldn't zoom any closer and got more greenery than I would have liked peacock was sitting on a roof so I could get anymore of it in frame - looks kind of odd because of that - tree in background did not compensate as I would have liked shot of mum without her realising I took it :) just a cute shot, but framing is off - children move too much! really liked the light on the leaves, but not sure about the photo as a whole natural gradient!!! Sky looks awesome, angel average cemetary angel web doesn't stand out as much as I'd like, but the colours are nice my lovely beaten up chair I scavenged during hard rubbish collection - playing with lines and light - not so good better version of previous shot - shows the depth/distance better - I think I was lying down too do the angle is nicer taken more because this spot makes me think of a character from my novel, but I like the contrast and the frame created for the background - couldn't get as low as I wanted because I wasn't prepared to lie on filthy pee-smelling ground :/ playing with lines and perspective, but a little overexposed I think I think I was aiming for some nature versus development thing, but in the end just another average shot of Melbourne city playing with perspective again, not so keen on this one random cat shot, not sure about framing, but it seems balanced and I quite like it lying in bed taking photos of the fairy lights wound through the bed head - given the shitty lighting I'm really happy this came out at all was lying on the ground, can't really remember what I wanted this to do, but wish I had kept the base of the dandelion in frame too thought this would turn out crap, but the lighting kind of saves it was trying to capture that single blade of grass standing up, but it's lost a little in the landscape not so great, better version of same idea further on possibly my favourite to date - lens flare and all given I was hanging backwards out of the passenger side of a car, holding the camera in one hand and holding onto the door with the other, this turned out okay - accentuates the sheer size of the trees early morning rain collected in whatever kind of tree that is - pretty rain drops in close-up
